CHRVC Dominates at Eastern Shore Showdown Day 1 & Commonwealth Series 1!

The Coastal Hampton Roads Volleyball Club had an impressive showing at the Eastern Shore Showdown Day 1 and Commonwealth Series 1, securing multiple victories across divisions. Several teams faced tough challenges but showed resilience and determination in their matches.

Eastern Shore Showdown

The 13 Hybrid squad dominated their bracket, going 3-0 with convincing wins over Limitless Power, RVBC 12U Blue, and RVBC 13U Blue.

The 14 National team also swept their matches 3-0, but had to fight hard against Coastal VBC 14 Navy, pulling off a tight 26-24 second-set win to claim victory.

The 15 National team battled through two tough three-set matches, securing comeback wins against Shenandoah Surge and FVC-15U Vibe. Their match against Limitless Force was another nail-biter, but they fell just short in a 25-27, 25-15, 15-11 loss, finishing the day 2-1.

In the 16 National division, CHR teams dominated with a 3-0 record, including a commanding 25-2 second-set win over ARVC 16-1.

The 18 National team fought through a grueling three-setter against Ultra Blues 18U - Blue, winning 15-11 in the final frame. However, they suffered a setback against GO Volley 18 N before bouncing back with a strong win over Schuylkill Eclipse, finishing 2-1.

Commonwealth Series 1

The 16 State team had an up-and-down tournament, finishing 2-3. They secured hard-fought victories over OBX Wave 15 Blue (30-28 in the second set) and 757 16R Black (15-12 in the deciding set), but faced tough losses to 757 16R Coral Jeannette, Venom 15-1, and Outbreak 16 Black. Despite the challenges, the team showed grit and determination throughout the day.
